...and here is Linda's inspiring tag:
I was inspired by the silvery background, the wreath with red bow, and the green banner sentiment... I just executed very differently. I really love this tag of Linda's-- I love it's relative simplicity but truly it's not simple-- she has just masterfully executed it.
Supplies:
- Library card base coated with Mod Podge through an Artist Workshop stencil then sprinkled with Distress Glitter Dust
- Wreath made of twine from the dollar store bought a couple years back
- Bow from vintage seam binding
- Banner snipped from old cardstock with one of Tim's Metallic holiday quotations
That's it. Even though I adore Linda's tag much more, I still like this... but it's a totally different style. Interpretation is so interesting! On another day, I would come up with a totally different tag inspired by Linda's!
I think I still need to make 5, 11, and 12. Well... I made 5, but I've hated it all along, so I dismantled it today and will give it another try...
Oh my gosh, a GREAT variation! Love love this one! Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas, Autumn
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous Mimi! Love the glittered embossed background. Your twine wreath is so perfect, especially with that pretty red bow. Great work on Week #10!

FAB YOU-LAAAS! I love your variation, and the tinseled background came out beautifully! Do you have any glitter coming off? I mixed mine before applying, so it stays put. I will be wiping that stuff up for another month! I love the bold twine wreath and bow! Happy New Year!
