SOS #444: I made this for you, Mom!

Mother's Day is coming up in USA, and we are celebrating at Shopping Our Stash.

This is my offering for the challenge:

Supplies:

  • Butterfly stamp by Inkadinkado, 2016, inked with Ranger Letter It embossing ink and heat embossed using Recollections embossing powder in white.
  • Stickles in Star Dust from 2018 added to edges of wings
  • Pearls from a Michael's pack from 2016
  • Nuvo Drops in Ivory Shell added at antennae
  • The card base was a Ken Oliver base a friend found for me at a yard sale
  • Ken Oliver Liquid Metals painted across the background.  This was basically my first time using them after having them for over a year and they looked shimmery when wet but the shimmers aren't there so much when dry... I'll have to play some more...
  • Tim Holtz Metallic Quotations from 2017.
Thanks for visiting!  Happy Mother's Day to you all! Go visit my teammates at Shopping Our Stash and then share what you've made!

SOS 443: Plant life!

This week at Shopping Our Stash, I am the hostess and I chose the theme "Plant Life" because I love all things leafy (or even plants without leaves... like succulents and cacti!

It was hard to narrow down which supplies I would use, but I am happy with these somewhat CAS creations:

Supplies and notes:

  • The hearts were painted on canvas paper last week using Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Ink, and cut at that time.
  • The word stickers were purchased from The Dollar Tree probably three years ago now... I love them!  I will be sad when they are gone!
  • Tim Holtz Wildflowers dies from set #1 circa 2016.
  • I used Park Lane gold and holographic papers from JoAnns.
  • On the blue "Good Luck" card, I used Versamark ink with Ranger Princess Gold EP and a stamp from The Stamp Pad Company that must be 20 years old.
  • On the red/orange heart, you can see the heat-embossed Stamplorations French Marigold stamp.

I also made these for this challenge... and forgot about them!:

Supplies and notes:

  • The leaves/sentiments were painted about seven months ago using Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus Watercolor on Strathmore watercolor paper.
  • The top card:
    • Elle's Studio paper from 2013
    • Park Lane gold paper
    • Nuvo Drops in Ivory Shell
  • The bottom card:
    • Kaisercraft paper from probably 4-5 years ago
    • Liquid Pearls in Petal Pink from 2010

Thank you for visiting!  Please go check out what my awesome teammates made at the Shopping Our Stash site!
