Wonder girl

Initially, this was just a play-time, but it turned into a cool tag for City Crafter's current challenge:

  • Tim's Typewriter stencil used on a libraray catalog card with Color Bursts
  • Andrea's/Snapping Monster's Wonder Girls stamp set... I just looked and they are not currently available in her Etsy store... sorry for you if you don't have 'em!  Anyway, I just inked them with Ranger Archival in Jet Black.
  • I used a waterbrush to lighten the type behind the face and hair
  • Glossy Accents used to add some Distress Glitter Dust to her hair
  • Evergreen Bough DI added to the portions of the card for a little more color
  • Black gesso added thinly at edges
  • Random yellow lines drawn with Distress Crayon in Mustard Seed for some nice complementary interest.
  • I wrote that quote at the top right from the song "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons

I'd also like to share this with the following appropriate challenges:

  1. This did, indeed, turn into a cool tag, Mimi! I love the design and the coloring! And, BTW, you have beautiful handwriting!! Hugs, Darnell

  2. Love all the layering of text, images, colour the lightening idea. Thanks for joining in at City Crafter.

  3. Love your card and your inspiration. Great sentiment!! Thanks for playing along with our "Make Your Mark Challenge" at Addicted to Stamps & More. Hugs, Cathy
