Xmas in July

I have always loved the thought of xmas in July... I think it stems from my summer camp days when that was one of the best weekly themes... secret santas, a summer turkey dinner...

Here's my ATC for the current Wicked Wednesday:

The book title was The Bear Who Slept Through Christmas,
and I stamped so that the "Christmas" showed in the O!

Supplies and notes:

  • Library card base monoprinted with Festive Berries and Evergreen Bough DI with Tim's StampAnon stripes stencil in a plaid fashion.  The colors got a little muddy, but it matches the vintage tone of the project
  • Hero Arts "Jolly" stamp in Tim's Embossing Ink and heat-embossed with Stampendous EP in Green Tinsel
  • The red pom-pom trim is from Target
  • The red twine is from The Dollar Tree
  • The bells are from my xmas stash
  • I added the red "holly" berries with a Viva Paper Pearl tube

  6. This is fabulous and so festive! It's at least eighty million degrees in my neck of the woods, so it was fantastic to be able to be reminded of all things jolly. Love the whimsical feel of this and that pom-pom trim at the bottom!
