Summer Tanager

Not native to where I live :(

The summer tanager is beautiful... I'd love to see one! Here in the west we have the western tanager, of course, and it is beautiful and bright as well:

Supplies and notes:
  • Postbox Red Dylusions spray through a Martha Stewart stencil, then monoprinted
  • Pure Sunshine Dylusions spray all ova'
  • The tanager was cut from an old day-planner.  The images are Sibley.
  • I used Pebeo Dimensional Liner in Lead
  • The tape is fabric tape from Daiso, a Japanese import store that I've never been into.  My best friend (the one getting hitched) keeps going there and buying me tape!  Thank you, Sarah!
  • The pom-pom trim was a score from Michael's years ago.  It was on clearance!  Whatttt?

  1. I love this Mimi! The colours are fabulous and I love seeing the tanager - it looks similar to a cardinal(another bird I will never see in the UK!) Love how you added the tape and pom-poms! Hugs, Chrisx

  2. This is so dadblamed cool! Love the tape and how you've attached the panels. Go Sarah!!! What a friend indeed, to think of you in the middle of planning her wedding. SWEET! The yellow and red is striking and those pom poms up the wow factor! Hugs, Autumn

  3. Oh, this one really caught my attention, I've been studying it in detail to see how everything was put together. Love the colors, love this to me unknown bird. Wow!

  4. Ok I love that sentiment you wrote
