My first Colo(u)r Q!

Whee! Okay, I did it.

This was hard for me because the DT did so well on Colour Q's 304th challenge that I was totally daunted! My appreciation for the palette,  however,  overcame my insecurities and I managed to come up with something.

So here's the palette:

And here's my card:

I did not add a sentiment, and maybe I never will. I was thinking I could use a typed (via old typewriter) "Happy Birthday" and tuck it under a flower if I need to. I also had grey enamel dots on the card for 5 minutes... didn't like them, so off they came.

  • DCWV paper and American Crafts paper
  • Prima and generic flowers
  • A Heidi Swapp stencil used with Teresa Collins modeling paste

Happy Freakin' Friday, you all! Here's to crafting all weekend!

  1. Happy Friday to you too!
I love the texture you added to your background Mimi! Pretty flowers and pattern paper! Thanks for joining us at ColourQ!

  2. You did a great job using this color combo. Started on a card myself, but it will probably not be finished, at least not in time for this challenge. I do struggle with color challenges... Your card looks beautiful just as it is, and it's so handy to have cards without sentiments, and this design is do versatile too...

  3. Darling card Mimi! Your little cluster of flowers looks so sweet. Thanks for joining us at ColourQ!

  4. Very pretty, mim, love the close up of your work! Thanks for sharing your card with us at the colourQ!
