...caught a bug...

A few weeks ago, Shopping Our Stash hosted a challenge about bugs, and Bonnie used the clever idea of "catching a bug"-- as in getting sick!  So clever!  I used some of my unused bug drawings to make my own "caught a bug" card:

Supplies and notes:

  • Focal sentiment punched with a Fiskars punch and written with Jane Davenport brush pens and a Tonic/Kuretake small waterbrush
  • Bugs painted on a scrap of watercolor paper with Jane Davenport watercolors
  • Over the bugs, I stamped old metal letterpress blocks of instructions for who-knows-what
  • The green cardstock was passed to me recently from a coworker (Thanks, Michelle!)
I'll share this with the following challenges:

  1. What a great card! The sentiment and bugs are the perfect combination. Thank you for joining us at TGIF Challenges!

  2. Great card. Love the colour scheme and those bugs and sentiment are great for a get well card. Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week. Tristan DT

  3. Oh Mimi, what a fun masculine get-well card! Love the colours you've used and, of course, that great sentiment. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  4. So clever! The colours of the watercoloured bugs are great. Love the letterpress images across the bugs. Thanks for playing with Watercooler Wednesday.
