This is actually new, so not such a stashy item, but I am so addicted to this palette right now! It is 100% fall to me, and so I am using it like crazy! For those of you who love watercolor (I am addicted to watercolor and pretty much do it daily-- not lying), this is my first Prima palette and I am liking it. It was pricey, but on par with what a quality set of 12 costs. I'm having some issues with graininess, but I am finding that the grains dissolve quickly. It's only been two weeks but I would definitely buy another Prima set in the future. The palettes are really terrific. The thing is, I am also obsessed with my Jane Davenport palettes so I really don't need any more palettes! </span></div></li><li>All fiber from my stash and over three years old. This week at Shopping Our Stash, I am the hostess and I challenge you to make a mess!</p><p>I was thinking about how often I don't go with my vision because the mess involved is prohibitive. The supplies that come to mind for me are Color Bursts (which I LOVE) and my gel plates. The Color Bursts just sometimes dust my desk and somehow I get errant pigment in my glue, and the gel plates just require trips to the sink (which is in the house and I work in the shack).</p><p>For this project, I decided on using my gel-plates because I haven't it a long time. I think my buddy Autumn inspired me the last time I used it months ago. I always have fun with it, so I did it! Totally satisfying!</p><p>Here is the journal made with the fruits of my mess-making labor:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU2uKibnhAEHOqw59Pk0cuuQwU-0Z8X8waNMz3gyidcEuwjynJLMrdIheJn2hrpGMZhkWZ-Xl6H44hvIWSKmLCY1XNTPTbODnWnq_toArZOhsmsckrUDh_KXjyaf8VX6or3_IilwcH2_wN/s2048/20200905_123154.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU2uKibnhAEHOqw59Pk0cuuQwU-0Z8X8waNMz3gyidcEuwjynJLMrdIheJn2hrpGMZhkWZ-Xl6H44hvIWSKmLCY1XNTPTbODnWnq_toArZOhsmsckrUDh_KXjyaf8VX6or3_IilwcH2_wN/s320/20200905_123154.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit-58Nw4s3BPPEkv7cu0pxVJjtrHrGQWnHVcGGeFFS6gARnfp-n3yutZF_YJ3juYas2ukTpo72_zMnS2f1kdk6r-ywA1S9OIF3b87LWZ2XFcfG6wNOn6p4sHsLQ5Lx5ehOwggTuJEztd1h/s2048/20200905_122949.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit-58Nw4s3BPPEkv7cu0pxVJjtrHrGQWnHVcGGeFFS6gARnfp-n3yutZF_YJ3juYas2ukTpo72_zMnS2f1kdk6r-ywA1S9OIF3b87LWZ2XFcfG6wNOn6p4sHsLQ5Lx5ehOwggTuJEztd1h/s320/20200905_122949.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ7MTq2htkldsaelh-PBHoTffwIngM7n5miEURHxp4tNJvSGv6EHxus9bWyu7nzaWzOy30ePAI4mUTZQJg6C0s58T-SY9UQhDJlBIGAXy75Mk8Pj9Meo5M2ep-0qbjp6SPSHRvJfQ0MH_4/s2048/20200905_123024.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ7MTq2htkldsaelh-PBHoTffwIngM7n5miEURHxp4tNJvSGv6EHxus9bWyu7nzaWzOy30ePAI4mUTZQJg6C0s58T-SY9UQhDJlBIGAXy75Mk8Pj9Meo5M2ep-0qbjp6SPSHRvJfQ0MH_4/s320/20200905_123024.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3lHOJwrdc537JRGtUZw2FcRA4upwqkE_anKC-D6CvUABksl-k9i01Q6tsSgZZtPiMYKy9xNR9VQlww5YaeVJrqcPvE5uEU46MFaoha8ISifYYNYCLe_r2AZijCd0Vo18CezIM-JuWYJoN/s2048/20200905_123053.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3lHOJwrdc537JRGtUZw2FcRA4upwqkE_anKC-D6CvUABksl-k9i01Q6tsSgZZtPiMYKy9xNR9VQlww5YaeVJrqcPvE5uEU46MFaoha8ISifYYNYCLe_r2AZijCd0Vo18CezIM-JuWYJoN/s320/20200905_123053.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div>Supplies:</div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Cardboard base made using the back board from a watercolor paper pad</li><li>Fiber from my sting jar</li><li>Ribbon used to attach the fiber was also from my scrap jar. I felt like I was building a book!</li><li>The gel printed pages were printed on this really thin and smooth Winsor and Newton coated pigment marker paper. I got in for cheap at Ross years ago and don't really use it. I thought it would be good for gel printing and I was not disappointed! </li><li>Ranger gel-printing plate set. I used the tag-sized plate.</li><li>The paints I used were from many different companies: Liquitex, Daler Rowney, and Tim Holtz Distress, all over a year old for sure.</li><li>Stencils used were also all over two years old: Tim Holtz, The Crafters Workshop, Plaid, Brett Weldele... I think that's it!</li><li>Love and Lemon washi added at the corners. I got this last year, I believe. </li><li>So, I printed the papers, then pasted them together and then created little signatures. I stitched them onto a piece of vintage fabric that was just chillin' on my desk, using vintage grey wool thread which was also chillin' on my desk.</li><li>For the insides of the covers, I just grabbed two pieces of the library-card-art I make nightly in front of the TV. </li></ul><div>This was a very organic process-- I just went with the flow-- so I didn't think much about the "how's"... <br />
The current challenge at SOS is to use black and white. Simple! I definitely have stash!<br />
<br />
Came up with some simple cards to use up some old papers. Here is my favorite:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJemeYLG7M8wabJUE-GBQ04dSqf75xLJkb3uGZtD3pWcuYAKPoekNRXBOlP2qtSZ74icA4GkT7oGvq7zdK5PBl6r8Vpc4oNW6XS23LtswpqWGpw4ylysct3OeVm9JdrrfdAoTSavdFzkhR/s1600/20200720_142219.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJemeYLG7M8wabJUE-GBQ04dSqf75xLJkb3uGZtD3pWcuYAKPoekNRXBOlP2qtSZ74icA4GkT7oGvq7zdK5PBl6r8Vpc4oNW6XS23LtswpqWGpw4ylysct3OeVm9JdrrfdAoTSavdFzkhR/s320/20200720_142219.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Materials:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Paper from the individual sheet-racks at Hobby Lobby (I think...)</li>
<li>Sentiment was one of the first things cut wet my Cricut Explore Air a couple years ago. I was experimenting with writing on the screen then cutting. </li>
<li>Tarnished Brass Distress Glitter applied with Glossy Accents</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />

UFOs... get it?!<br />
<br />
I have plenty. Like, an embarrassing amount of UFOs.<br />
<br />
Here are the three cards produced by using UFOs from a few months ago:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This is what I started with (my UFOs):<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfs0t-YFr9FFREekz2KGKhQHazEyGkLIBuGCNXL5ghuseyxMCHxgqR_MYxNSDSg0_A-jPaunJgFBb_t_XZqb09OZym9uaZUzdS_0NAsdX1dL3aqGSpQ634aIMvTFr7CLOMAt-qlfUuT8wQ/s1600/20200528_010908.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfs0t-YFr9FFREekz2KGKhQHazEyGkLIBuGCNXL5ghuseyxMCHxgqR_MYxNSDSg0_A-jPaunJgFBb_t_XZqb09OZym9uaZUzdS_0NAsdX1dL3aqGSpQ634aIMvTFr7CLOMAt-qlfUuT8wQ/s320/20200528_010908.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Supplies:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>The mermaid is a Jane Davenport stamp... one of the last stamp sets I purchased. Now that I carve stamps, I don't buy as much... but I couldn't resist her.</li>
<li>I colored her with Jane Davenport aquapastels. They are not soft and smooth like oil pastels-- they are more like a hard chalk stick, but they blend beautifully with water. I bought these probably a year or two ago.</li>
<li>Glossy Accents by Ranger added as water droplets.</li>
<li>Patterend paper by who-knows. I've had it for a few years. I want to say Graphic 45, but not sure. My teammate Chana may know-- she loves Graphic 45.</li>
<li>I added Teresa Collins modelling paste through a Hero Arts stencil. I blended the modeling paste with Tiffanylou's Blue Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals for the cool color. The paste I bought years ago, the Magicals are also from years ago, and the stencil is from around 2 years ago. It was one of my most recent stencil purchases.</li>
<li>The blue background paper was from a bulk purchase in 2019.</li>
<li>I used Tim Holtz Mini Greenery dies for the seaweed, cut in the past from Tim Holtz metallic kraft-core.</li>
<li>The pearls were from the Michael's dollar bins in 2016</li>
<li>The flowers are by Prima from like 5 years ago. I rubbed them with DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Gold Rush. (I love that stuff-- highly recommend picking some up if you like to add some cool vintage accents to your pieces. FYI, I keep a folded up baby wipe in my can of it to keep it from firming up too much.)</li>
<li>I used silver Stickles on the kraft-based card</li>
<li>Tim Holtz metallic quotations (the white/silver)</li>
<li>Gold quotations from the dollar store about two years ago</li>
</ul>

Thanks for visiting. Go see my teammates for further inspiration!</div>

Oh, the places you'll go!<br />
<br />
This fortnight's theme, brought to you by Donna, can be interpreted multiple ways, and I took it literally... Maryland! (I was born in Maryland and have lots of family there... would love to be quarantined on my <a href="https://www.newmarketplains.com/">aunt and uncle's vineyard</a> right about now!)<br />
<br />
Here is my card for your viewing pleasure:<br />

Supplies and notes:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Maryland paper from Echo Park 2016</li>
<li>Yellow and red and black cardstock from my stash... years old</li>
<li>Checkered paper from Creative Imaginations... has to be at least 5 years old</li>
<li>Ranger Princess Gold embossing Powder used with a Ranger Perfect Medium brush pen that I've had for a few years-- I don't usually use it, though, because the brush tip is hard to control.</li>
<li>Rhinestones from Michael's dollar bins from at least 3 years ago.</li>
<li>Pumice Stone DI dabbed around my cut heart. It didn't show up super well so I added the ink and used a double layer of 3M dimensional tape.</li>

<li>Tags made by sprinkling Color Burst powders through a Martha Stewart stencil from 2012, then spritzing, and then with the inky stencil I pressed it onto another sheet of watercolor paper.</li>
<li>I splattered some watered-down Liquitex gesso across the page to add more "stars"</li>
<li>The transparency is by Teresa Collins from 2010</li>
<li>The fiber is from Andrea Ockey-Parr from years ago</li>
<li>Tim Holtz found relatives from a couple years ago</li>
<li>The snarky Small Talk by Tim Holtz is probably my newest stash item, bought within the past 6 months</li>
<li>The Found Relatives were accented with Star Dust Stickles</li>
</ul>
<br />
Stay healthy and safe out there... and stay creative! <br />

(As you know if you are a craft blogger... so dang hard to photograph sparkly things!)<br />
<br />
Supplies:<br />
<ul>
<li>Card from a sale-buy last summer. I had a bunch of this green left.</li>
<li>Stamp carved using Speedball Speedy-carve using Speedball and Flexcut tools. That shape is the lake my town is on: Lake Almanor. A stack of these will go to the local bookstore. </li>
<li>Here's the stashy part: the embossing ink and powder used was from a purchase 2 or 3 years ago. I believe the ink and powder came in a Ranger Letter-It set that was on sale at Michael's in Reno. Fabulous glittering stuff!</li>
