Just Us Girls Tic-Tac-Toe-ing!

Another quickie... I'm under the gun for all kinds of cards: thank you's for the volunteers at the library, baby shower thank-yous (already did 25, need 25 more), baby cards (x2), retirement cards (x 5), a graduation card... it's crazy.  And we are buried with baseball and softball!  SIGH... hey, everyone in my family is healthy... I cannot complain.

I JUST WANT MORE TIME TO CRAFT!!!

Here's a card for one of the library volunteers:

(Head-on)

(At an angle to show the shine!)

I plan to share this at JUGS and Tic-Tac-Toe, and here are their graphics:

Supplies and notes:
  • I used vellum and DP from my scrap bin... very pleased with the combination.  The coral houndstooth actually had the newsprint tape on it-- I had tried to organize my recipe box last year... nope.  My recipe cards remain disorganized.  I end up frantically looking for a recipe, and shove the cards back in the box.  I gave up.
  • The diecut flowers in the center are from Jolee's Boutique
  • The veneer birds are from Studio Calico
  • The sentiment was typed on an old library catalog card and cut out

  2. Good thing you're a quick crafter and not a turtle slow one like myself. I've got my mil here but will try and sneak away for some crafting tomorrow. She came Friday and is leaving on Wednesday, we are celebrating the Norwegian constitution day on Tuesday (but she and hubby are Swedish but they love this Norwegian tradition) All these days off and I'd like to make at least one card...
This one is really delicate and pretty, love the effect of the vellum piece with spots.

  3. Well that gold polka dot vellum is just beautiful, I love the shine. Your flowers are gorgeous, as is the patterned paper, and then that sweet bird is the prefect final touch. Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along this week at Just Us Girls!!

  5. This is beautiful! So glad you photographed it both ways so you can see the beautiful shimmer. And I can so relate to being behind in making cards and never having enough time to do it. At least when you do get time, you create beautiful things! Thanks so much for joining us for Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #9!
