Supplies & notes:
- Library card base, cut to ATC size, then stenciled with Ranger Transparent Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz Honeycomb stencil
- Once dry, card was smeared with the following: Mermaid and Rust alcohol inks, Gold mixative, and some blending solution, all Ranger
- The wings stamp is from Invoke Arts stamped on MementoLuxe in black
- The crown was slightly inked with Mermaid and Rust alcohol inks. It was purchased in the "buy me while you're standing in line" bins at Michael's in late December
- The brad is Recollections
- The heart was coated with Gold alcohol ink mixative. The heart itself came in a box of hundreds of blinglets from my sis for xmas... it was a gift to me and my kids :)
- The quote was added last, typed on the ol' typewriter and inked with (I believe) Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and water
Before giving away, I will enter this into the following challenges:
- Mod Squad Challenge Blog: Friendship
- Inkspirational #100: Blast From the Past... we get to choose any color challenge from the past! I chose #71: Anything Goes With Gold! I love gold and turquoise... my fave...
- Happy Little Stampers: January Mixed Media Challenge: Use Stencils. For HLS MM, they define it as stamps + ink, plus two other elements which add texture and/or dimension. Done.
Well I think it's a perfect little piece of ART! Well done! Love the background and the way you have incorporated that fabulous sentiment into it! WOW! The heart and crown and 'banner tag' accents are fantastic! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Mod Squad Blog!
ReplyDeletedid you say, "transparent texture paste"??!??!?! YOWZA! ok, sorry, i got distracted by the thought of a texture medium i don't already own, lol. this is perfection. srsly. wow!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of colors and inks. I've only made one ATC before, maybe a goal for 2016 to make more? Looks fun and a nice way to practise new techniques, which is already a goal of mine for this year.
ReplyDeleteMimi, this is one of my favorites yet! I adore these amazing colors and the depth in this tag - it's wonderful!
