Check this out:
This was 100% inspired by the sketch at Share Joy #42:
Supplies and notes:
- The watercolor panel was inked with DIs in the following colors: Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters, Scattered Straw, and Dried Marigold. After the initial inking, these same colors were daubed through a Heidi Swapp stencil. Following all of that, I tried to soften the lines with about 10 squirts of the water mister... it sorta worked. I actually wanted a little more blur but it was one of those moments when I was scared to turn the corner from blurry to muddy... so I held.
- The super-cute French macaroons are by Jolee's Booutique
- Pebeo Relief Liner in clear glitter was added to frame the watercolor panel, and I also added some dots above the pearls for "mo' betterness" (one of my long-time fave punk bands NO USE FOR A NAME had an album with this title)
- Fiskars banner stamp inked with Tim's MM pad with Vintage Photo then accented with the Pebeo liner. I wrote "Yum" on the banner... not super-stoked on the way this came out. I may reassemble this one in the future...
...if it doesn't get used before then! Still restocking my personal card stash. I spend most of my craft time playing on library cards and doing more personal projects for friends and family. It's time for me to put some effort into those more generic cards that I can keep on hand-- a necessary task.
Now you make me want to try your card oops your macaron
