Honestly, I was inspired by Stephanie's card with the print in the background. I made my card non-traditional, and while I do love tradition, I love anything that goes a little against the grain.
Supplies and notes:
- DCWV paper pack (received as a xmas gift) as the background
- I used a Stamp-Anon honeycomb stencil for the monoprinting with Evergreen Bough, Scattered Straw, and Black Soot Distress Ink
- Amy Tangerine letter stamps in MementoLuxe Tuxedo Black
- Fabric evergreen pieces from Handmade Modern from Target
I adore your stamping on text ... what a fabulous holiday card ... so very glad you got TEXT-y with us at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great mix of traditional (greeneries) and non traditional (honeycomb), as well as a clever mix of modern meets vintage (don't know if that makes any sense to you, but I hope you understand what I mean).
ReplyDeletevery fun - I like the stamping on the background paper.

Mimi Love this stenciled background effect! Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteoh how i LOOOOOVE this, lemme count the ways: that texty background! the honeycomb bits on top! distressy (but still totally readable!) stamped sentiment in chunky cool font! (think i prolly need those AT stamps!) and the little fabric holly leaves! (k, in retrospect, it'd've been quicker to say, "i love EVERYTHING about this" wouldn't it?!?! ah well...) :) thanks for joining our texting fun at JINGLE BELLES! ♥♥♥
