SOS 409: Thankful

I'm thankful for the Shopping Our Stash Team!  This week we are recognizing gratitude.  This is my little creation:
In case you can't see from the picture, this says "Thankful"

Supplies:
  • Echo Park paper from 2013... called Acorn Forest... cut into 4x3" pieces
  • Tim Holtz leaf dies from years ago, and in fact were die-cut last year or the year before.
  • Mica flakes from Recollections.  Been in my stash for at  least 3 years.  Used old Mod Podge gently brushed to add the flakes
  • Liquitex gesso used for the letters... have had this bottle for a couple years
  •  The metallic hemp was (I believe) from the first time I ever went to a Hobby Lobby.
Visit my friends at Shopping Our Stash!  Hope we inspire you to craft and meditate on what you are thankful for!

SOS 408: Here comes Suzy Snowflake

This fortnight's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to use a snowflake (or snowflakes) on your creation!

This is my project:

(As you know if you are a craft blogger... so dang hard to photograph sparkly things!)

Supplies:
  • Card from a sale-buy last summer.  I had a bunch of this green left.
  • Stamp carved using Speedball Speedy-carve using Speedball and Flexcut tools.  That shape is the lake my town is on: Lake Almanor.  A stack of these will go to the local bookstore.
  • Here's the stashy part: the embossing ink and powder used was from a purchase 2 or 3 years ago.   I believe the ink and powder came in a Ranger Letter-It set that was on sale at Michael's in Reno. Fabulous glittering stuff!
Thanks for visiting.  Visit my SOS cohorts for much more inspiration!
