SOS: Congrats/Graduation...

Greetings!  This week at Shopping Our Stash we are getting ready for the graduates!  And, because not everyone has a graduate in their life, we're opening the Grad Challenge also to a Congratulations challenge!

This card is for a friend's nephew.  Initially, I was going to mount it all on a white card, but when I went to get the card, I opted for the kraft instead.  I think it looks much more masculine this way.

Supplies:

• Main patterned paper from a 12x12 dated 2014 by Echo Park
• The brown/copper background paper was from the craft set that belonged to my kids when they were little... I recently cleaned out their craft bin and it turned out to be a gold mine!
• The metallic cardboard was from some holiday cookie packaging a neighbor gave us.  It was just such a great copper color I had to keep part of it.
• I used various hole punches to add confetti
• The "Congrats" is a Tim Holtz die

Happy Retirement!  This is for one of my husband's coworkers.

In the sun...

Supplies:

• Main background panel written on with a Ranger Letter It pen and embossed with Recollections EP in clear
• Background inked with Evergreen Bough (top) and Peacock Feathers (bottom) DI
• Circles punched with an old Recollections punch
• Hawaiian shirt is a SU! stamp, first stamped with Candied Apple DOx then inked with Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Recollections clear EP.  Next, I daubed it with Broken China DI.
• The flip-flops were drawn using two Letter It pens and heat embossed with clear.  I inked it with Mustard Seed DI. (The upper flip-flop was a little wonky, so I partially covered it...
• The palm trees are by Inspired By Stamping, inked with Evergreen Bough and Vintage Photo.
• I sprinkled everything with water to add the droplets.
• The yellow trim is from an old Martha Stewart punch.

Butterfly Journey

This is not "me", but it was fun to make, and it is pretty:

Supplies:

• Cheap watercolor paper embossed with Tim Holtz's Roses folder 
• Panel then inked with DOx in Abandoned Coral, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, and Squeezed Lemonade
• Panel then cut with a stitched circle from Autumn (thanks!)
• The butterflies are by Inkadinkado and were stamped on some thick vellum packaging using Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Recollections in Snow
• I used various coordinating Ranger Liquid Pearls on the flowers
• The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Quotation

Love that song!

My BFF is an optometrist software manager (or something) for a giant firm, and I bought this paper years ago with her in mind. Back To Basics had the perfect challenge to use the paper finally!

To be totally fair, here are my scraps leftover... Probably a few square inches...

For sale!!!

A friend of mine is having a yard sale tomorrow and she is selling all of this!!!

I am not a Stampin' Up!  disciple, bit some of this looks pretty awesome.  She is not a crafter, so before she sells this to regular people, I wanted to throw it out to you guys.  If you are interested (??? we all have different styles) give a bid.  Unfortunately, you will have to factor in shipping.  But if you are half-interested, and the stuff doesn't sell, I will send it to you for shipping.

There are at least 50 of these!!! These are in varying states, but from my research, people said that stamp refresher spray works.

Birthday Deer

Made this for a coworker who is a lady, but she is not a girlie-girl:

Supplies:

• Old DP-- no idea the make
• The deer is a Hampton Art die cut from some Tim Holtz paper
• The shield and laurel are from a Tim Holtz Bigz die, cut from some scraps
• Liquid Pearls all around for a feminine touch... I think it worked!

***So, here's my journalling: I have been tasked with making birthday cards for the staff, and for some this is easy (Teri likes purple, Laura likes killer whales, etc.)... well, Jennifer B. likes to hunt and fish, so I wanted to make a feminine card that embodies her interests.  (I can relate as a tomboy myself...) so it kind of all came together after I selected a neutral pre-cut deer die as the focal, then as soon I found the birthday patterned paper (the black and white background), I chose a pastel green theme.  The final touch was adding the Liquid Pearls, and I think that definitely took it over the top as a girlie-card!

Made this for a family-friend turning 4:

Supplies:

• Recollections stamps and dino die
• Background panel made a few months back using DOx on Tim Holtz's resist paper
• Mat in back is a leftover piece of patterned paper by DCWV
• On the dino, I inked him with Cracked Pistachio DOx and heat embossed with clear EP by Recollections.  Then I inked him with Mustard Seed DI
• The sentiment was stamped with Distress embossing ink and heat embossed with Stampendous Stamp-n-stuff in Winter Wonderland (white with silver sparkles) on a scrap of paper from my scrap box.
