Supplies:
- I scribbled Picket Fence Distress Crayon on a Distress tag, then (tried) to coat it with Distress Stain in Broken China. Well, the crayon resisted as I'd hoped, but the stain pad was getting "gunky" from the crayon, so I kind of just dabbed it around and then sprayed with water.
- After that, I went through a couple iterations of spritz-dry, which is how the awesome snowy scene was made!
- The car is a sticker from Carta Bella from last year
- The ground was cut using Tim's Home For The Holidays die set for the first time, as was the sentiment, both cut from scraps.
- The golden "snowflakes" are actually from a Fiskars flower stamen punch, but they look like retro little snowflakes to me!
- The twine was kept from a gift.
I'll share this tag with the following challenges:
- Jingle Belles: Recycle something (the twine was kept from a gift because of the quality of it-- something only us crafters could appreciate!)

- Watercooler Wednesday:
Wow, Mimi, what a great tag! I love that gold embossing against the lovely distress colours. The red volkswagon with the tree on top really add a nice "pop". Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us for the "All About Christmas Challenge" at the Watercooler Wednesday this week Mimi and sharing your wonderful Christmas tag. So happy you were able to get it in before the deadline. Love the beautiful watercolour background.

ReplyDeleteThat is some rockin' twine ... and what an awesome design to upcycle it ... so glad you joined our Ode to EARTH at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteYou used some very creative design elements Mimi, love the Carta Bella sticker. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday.
ReplyDeleteFun sticker. And I recognized the TH dies, got them myself, I love this set. Love how this tag came out.
ReplyDeletehehehe... i too keep "found" twine despite having tons of "crafting" twine for exactly the same reason... it's a totally different weight/color/quality. there is actually a bakery near my house that still dispenses treats in a white paper box tied with baker's twine! meanwhile, the twine here is really just the icing on an amazingly artsy, clever and beautiful tag!!! (that background is making me drool... i love that it was an experiment that took a few tries, also, sometimes i feel like the only one who needs multiple go's to get a good result!) love, love, love this and thanks for joining our recycling fun at JINGLE BELLES!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag! I love all of the fun "non-stamping" detaild you added to your design! Thanks for joining us this week at Merry Monday!
