My first Colo(u)r Q!

Whee! Okay, I did it.

This was hard for me because the DT did so well on Colour Q's 304th challenge that I was totally daunted! My appreciation for the palette,  however,  overcame my insecurities and I managed to come up with something.

So here's the palette:

And here's my card:

I did not add a sentiment, and maybe I never will. I was thinking I could use a typed (via old typewriter) "Happy Birthday" and tuck it under a flower if I need to. I also had grey enamel dots on the card for 5 minutes... didn't like them, so off they came.

Supplies:
  • DCWV paper and American Crafts paper
  • Prima and generic flowers
  • A Heidi Swapp stencil used with Teresa Collins modeling paste

Happy Freakin' Friday, you all! Here's to crafting all weekend!

  2. You did a great job using this color combo. Started on a card myself, but it will probably not be finished, at least not in time for this challenge. I do struggle with color challenges... Your card looks beautiful just as it is, and it's so handy to have cards without sentiments, and this design is do versatile too...
