Mythical angel notebook

Isn't that what these are-- mythical mer-angels? Well, anyway, enjoy...

I did none of the writing on this card... it's so special that it had many librarians marks on it.

Ooh... sparkly...

See the perforated pages?  A total pain to do, but 100% worth it.  I think this notebook has 25 sheets.

Supplies:

  • Cover and pages all old library catalog cards (what else?)
  • Cover stamped with this cool Invoke Arts stamp in Ranger Archival in Jet Black (what else?)
  • Crown accented with Stickles in Mercury Glass (what else?)
  • The cover panel was then sprayed with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in a peachy-gold
  • I've also added some Shabby Shutters DI and spritzed with a little water
  • My all-time favorite yarn used to bind the book together through holes punched with a Crop-o-dile Big Bite
So many of my favorite bits came together for this little notebook.  There's just something about it... I'll have to find a special home for it.

I will share this with Mini Album Makers... the DT members over there could do this project in their sleep!  HA!  But I hope everyone enjoys it nonetheless!

I will also share this at Simon Says Stamp on Monday (who has another powerhouse DT), and they are conveniently having a Take Note (notebook) challenge this week

XO, y'all.

  1. This will be such a useful notebook, I really like how you did the binding on the side. The teacher's comment on the top of the notebook really did make me chuckle!! Thanks so much for joining in with us at Mini Album Makers. Anne x

  2. Once again, you have officially worked magic with library paraphernalia! And this notebook is awesome! I love, love, LOVE how you left the writing that saws "Redo this." You've immortalized a correctional note and that made me smile! I wonder if any of my former English students are using my red-penned "correctional notes" in any of their artwork projects. I also love the stamped image and how you gave it just a hint of sparkle on the crown. Genius all the way around and I'm so glad you keep sharing the love with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

  3. I really love that you left all the original markings. What a treasure. And your Japanese stab binding is lovely, especially with the yarn. Thanks for joining the Mini Album Makers Challenge blog.

  6. I love that you used library catalog cards! I love those, and loved the days of poking through the card catalog in the library. A lost pleasure, for sure! Your project is lovely....and useful. Thanks for sharing your work with us at Mini Album Makers Challenge Blog.
