Here's Linda's inspirational tag:
I pulled a few things from Linda's tag, including the snow gradient, the silhouettes, shabby ribbon, bells. In hindsight, I wish I would have made the sentiment black as well-- that may change...
Supplies and notes:
- Tag base is an embossed piece of beige cardstock from my friend Pia
- Raised parts of tag inked with Versamark the embossed with Recollections in Snow; edges embossed in this way as well.
- Trees (by Tim Holtz) diecut from some glittery scraps from DCWV
- The hillside was ripped from the same DCWV scraps
- The kids on the sled are also from Pia... I came across them as I was looking for that fab embossed background. Thank you, Pia!
- The thick seam binding is from my stash; I incorporated text to my project by stamping Tim's Ledger Script with Tim's MM Palette in Vintage Photo to the ribbon. It bled a little, but I am totally okay with it.
- The bells are from some holiday trim I bought recently. I pinned them on with a Paper Studio safety pin and added a typed sentiment which I typed with my old typewriter on old typewriter paper
- Sequins added
Spectacular tag, so pretty! Thanks for playing at HLS Christmas challenge.
ReplyDeleteYou've used some of my favorite items here, and it's inspiring to see how they can be used. Especially for tags as I struggle making those, and this year, as previous years, I've promised myself to make every gift tag myself.
ReplyDeleteI truly adore this tag! That stamp (which you have as a die cut) is my all time favorite! Mine is Character Constructions. You really went in a delightful direction with this one. Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful version of Linda's tag! I adore those trees in the background, such a wintery scene full of fun and festive activity!! Hope you've been well this summer. sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tag.
ReplyDeleteThat silhouette is magical and looks fantastic in black against the lovely vintage hues of the background. I live in Florida now but I grew up in upstate NY in the snow belt so it brings back bittersweet childhood memories. The falling snow and pine trees give it a nostalgic wintery feel. Beautifully done, Mimi!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda
