I made about 10 panels and now I get to use them on cards and tags. (I love making panels that can be added to my stash... it is nice to have original work on-hand to assemble a card when you're short on time or lacking mojo... strike the hammer while the iron is hot!)
Here is one finished card:
Here is a picture of the original panel:
I used this sketch by My Favorite Things, where I'll share this one:
Supplies:
- Inspired By Stamping cardinal stamp inked with Dina Wakley's Ranger Archival Mixed Media palette in Ruby
- Distress Ink watercoloring with Aged Mahogany, Wild Honey, and Worn Lipstick
- Typed sentiment from my stash
- Red background paper by Authentique
Here is another cardinal:
Supplies for this one:
- Inspired By Stamping cardinal stamp inked with Dina Wakley's Ranger Archival Mixed Media palette in Ruby
- Distress Ink watercoloring in different colors than the first!
- Tim's foliage Thinlets punched out of scrap paper
- "Joy" word from an old book
I'll share this second card at the following challenges:

LOVE these creations. Wonderful choice of distress ink colors. Love your cardinal image. The green leaves really pop and the sentiments typed and taken from an old book look great! Thanks so much for playing with us at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThese are just wonderful! Love the panels that you created - and I agree, it's nice to build up your stash.
ReplyDeleteSmall changes can make such a difference! The greeneries turn basically the same image and design into a Christmasy version...
ReplyDeleteSmall change and look so different dear Mimi
