SOS 408: Here comes Suzy Snowflake

This fortnight's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to use a snowflake (or snowflakes) on your creation!

This is my project:

(As you know if you are a craft blogger... so dang hard to photograph sparkly things!)

Supplies:
  • Card from a sale-buy last summer.  I had a bunch of this green left.
  • Stamp carved using Speedball Speedy-carve using Speedball and Flexcut tools.  That shape is the lake my town is on: Lake Almanor.  A stack of these will go to the local bookstore.
  • Here's the stashy part: the embossing ink and powder used was from a purchase 2 or 3 years ago.   I believe the ink and powder came in a Ranger Letter-It set that was on sale at Michael's in Reno. Fabulous glittering stuff!
Thanks for visiting.  Visit my SOS cohorts for much more inspiration!

  5. Awesome job on carving your stamp, it takes a lot of dexterity to pull it off, and still having fingers. Awesome card. (I bought a box of card bases and envies at the goodwill store, makes for a quick card.

  6. WOW!! You carved this stamp!!!?? I didn't know you could do this but, even if I did, I don't think I could pull it off! You definitely need to have a keen eye to give it the shape you want.
What a fabulous way to put your Lake on our map, and yes, yes, sparkly images are a pain to photograph, but I can see the shine on your card.
    Awesome card Mimi.
